A look at advanced regressive societies.
Imagine telling your child about the Holocaust. You go into details about death camps, roaming murder squads, and the conversion of humans into tattooed numbers. The one thing that you don't do is tell him who did all of these horrible things. After you finish, you ask him to guess who the architect of the murder of one-third of all living Jews was. You would forgive him if he suggested some African nation. Africa has known ethnic violence, and your son would conclude that such banal brutality could only come from some backward people, uneducated, and prone to violence. He would be shocked to learn that the most advanced country of its time was the force behind mechanized mass murder.
And Germany was advanced. The land of Beethoven, Goethe, Kant, and Nietzsche was the world leader in culture and science. Some of Nazi Germany's accomplishments before and during the war include the following:
- First cruise missile
- First ballistic missile
- First missile fired from a submerged submarine
- First to field a jet fighter
- Discoverer of fission, the process behind nuclear energy
- First with paratroop-based combat operations
The Germans were technically and culturally advanced. A rabbi recounted that in Vilna, the local SS leader lined up a bunch of Jewish children against the garden wall of the local police station. With one hand, he played Mozart on a piano, and with the other, he fired a machine gun at the children. The story of Nazi Germany is the warning that education of any sort that is uncoupled from any moral program can be extremely dangerous. Just as many suffer from too much food, and others are destroyed by too much money, there are those whose lives are perverted by, if you will, too much knowledge. And this problem did not end with the Nazis. Have you noticed that some of the most intolerable places for Jews, ICE, and conservatives are university campuses? Have you concluded that many of the screaming and fighting lunatics in Minneapolis are college graduates? Just as professors and universities were brought early into the Nazi sphere and directed toward the purposes of the state, how much of the left anti-Trump program is driven by universities and their graduates? Do you remember how the current president of Harvard reveled in fighting Trump over cuts to federal funding? He would rather fight Trump than erase on-campus antisemitism.
The mental defectiveness that is the product of a morally deficient education is not something that only pops up at anti-ICE riots or pro-Hamas protests. Go use ChatGPT or other AI programs and ask questions that are officially verboten according to the politically correct/woke agenda. I previously reported that I asked Sam Altman's product to give me a listing of IQ by racial group. I did not ask who was better or who was the dumbest. I asked for data, and AI would not provide it. I received a long response about how IQ measures nothing and is a completely useless measure of intelligence. I went over to Grok and received the data directly without sanctimonious preaching. When I asked ChatGPT for a joke about blacks or women, it absolutely refused to provide the same. When I requested the same about whites, it did not lose a moment: "Two whites enter a bar and go straight for the roof. Why? Because they heard that drinks were on the house."
Elon Musk and others have pointed out that lefty Wikipedia and similar sources are the meat and potatoes for AI engines. I once added to Wikipedia material from an indictment that showed the involvement of Marwan Barghouti in the bombing in which my son and I were injured. The original entry had the arch-terrorist as a near saint, a distant cousin of Nelson Mandela. My factual addition that so besmirched the man serving five life sentences for multiple murders was removed by a super-editor the same day. Now, ask AI about "climate change" or "trans," and the output will directly reflect the brainwashed ideology of the engineers who wrote the program algorithms. Other than Grok, you will receive the Official Position on every subject. The same brainwashing that could lead to "A Hundred Authors Against Einstein" today leads to highly credentialed morons claiming that a boy can be a girl and vice versa. And AI will use the same to answer your queries.
Education and information alone are like "pareve" food in Judaism. There are meat foods like a burger and milk dishes like a milkshake, and then there are foods that are neither, like almonds and water. These are called pareve. One can either let information lead to a conclusion or start with an ideologically acceptable outcome and then build an information pathway in order to arrive at a preconceived conclusion. Many of America's "firsts," like landing on the moon, breaking the speed of sound, the first commercial satellite, seem to be things of the past. When a moral people used education and engineering knowledge, they built incredible things. The one closest to such success today is Elon Musk, and he is thoroughly hated by the Left for his pro-U.S., pro-success opinions. He is a throwback to the 1960s and 1970s, when many of the great inventors and creators would have thought exactly as he does. The more educated one becomes, the more politically active and less socially useful he often becomes.
One would not have expected highly educated university presidents and faculty to align themselves with the Muslim Brotherhood and traditional Islamic practices of wife beating and death sentences for homosexuals. How can "Trans for Palestinians" and the like support a group that would kill them in Gaza? Just as the boy in the story above could not understand how an advanced country like Germany could undertake industrial-scale mass murder, he also would not expect highly-accredited doctors to chop off healthy parts of children in order to reach an impossible outcome. If it were the rubes in the south and the yahoos in the plains screaming for Hamas or saying that guys have every right to run against the girls, we would write off their positions as being due to their being uneducated boors. But the ones leading the pack for the destruction of the U.S. and its move away from traditional religious values oftentimes are the most educated. How many universities tied their wagon to Black Lives Matter, as the leaders of BLM simply skimmed millions from donations in order to grow their real estate portfolios? Do you remember the brilliant leaders of our public health community who determined that mass BLM protests were far less dangerous for COVID spread than the scourge of racism? Meanwhile, if you tried to get 50 people to meet in the garden behind the church, black helicopters would swoop in to arrest the organizers.
The fact that the Germans were the driving force for the murder of Jews and others should teach us that having an advanced culture is no guarantee from becoming mass-murdering monsters. We have seen a miniature version of enraged lunatics in Minnesota wanting to kill ICE officers who are enforcing laws on the books in Washington. The billionaires funding their actions mostly went to university and are academically accomplished. It means nothing. Just as professors turned all knowledge on its head to serve the Nazi leadership, so too modern academic institutions and their graduates have taken the knowledge in their brains in order to attack Donald Trump, those who elected him, and those who legally carry out his orders. When Democrats win, elections have consequences. When Republicans win, it's time for "resistance" and violence against the state. Tell your kid to become an electrician or plumber; keep him or her away from our college sewers.
