The left’s positions are not based in reality. These people live in a fantasy world of their own creation. The fulfillment of their deranged positions is a danger to Americans as well as citizens of other countries.
The truth. That’s what “veritas” used to mean at Harvard. That was the goal of journalists, professors, and judges throughout the ages: to get to the truth on the subject at hand. The left started to move away from the truth in favor of ideology ages ago, and with the rise of Donald Trump in 2016, they abandoned it altogether. The New York Times famously said that the danger that Trump represented to the US and the world made it imperative that they dump impartiality and do everything in their power to stop the man.
Tony Blinken, our Secretary of State, is a delusional man. He keeps talking about the “need” to set up a Palestinian state. As many have pointed out, Gaza was a test Palestinian state. Israel and Egypt controlled the borders and provided goods to the people living there. But it was the Gazans who voted in Hamas, who in turn chased out the corrupt Palestinian Authority. If Gazans and their chosen leaders had taken a path of peace, they would have had much better lives. Israel for years talked about an airport and a seaport for Gaza, but the continual decades-long terror emanating from the strip made it too dangerous to give such things to Hamas and its barbarians. The events of 10/7 should have been the final word on a Palestinian state. The Palestinians are only interested in raping Jewish women, beheading Jewish babies, and torturing, then killing Jewish soldiers. Maybe "only" 3,000 entered Israel, but 72% of their brethren support what they did. A father today said that his son’s head was taken to Gaza where the terrorists tried to sell it for $10,000. I wish that I was making this story up, but it is true. Tony Blinken’s fantasy of a Palestinian state—a fantasy that has gone on for 50 years—has cost the lives of thousands of Israeli citizens and soldiers. Living in a fantasy world has a price.

Blinken added a new fantasy when he said that Jewish lives are not worth more than Palestinian lives. On a perfectly theoretical level, I agree with him: all men are created equal before God and no one is better than another. But in war, my people are much more important and valuable than the enemy. The allies in World War 2 killed millions of German and Japanese soldiers and civilians in order to secure a victory over facism and tyranny. As George Patton famously said, “No dumb bastard ever won a war by going out and dying for his country. He won it by making some other dumb bastard die for his country.” When the war is over, we’re all equals. As long is goes on, kill as many terrorists and their supporters as is needed to protect a single Jewess from rape or a Jewish baby from beheading.
I wish that Tony Blinken was the only fantasizer of our generation. But the Left is built on fantasies in all aspects of their policies. I have driven a Tesla once, and it is truly an amazing car. The response, the amazing engineering—the cars are in a class of their own. That said, the push for EV cars in general is based on a false premise that fossil fuels are either raising temperatures or fiddling dangerously with the climate. We’re in an incredible cold snap, but the climate clowns say that one cannot use weather events to discuss climate. Yet, when it is unseasonably warm in December or there is a hurricane—as there have always been hurricanes—they immediately use the event to say that warming has been proven. The extreme cold has put many Teslas out of action. Their batteries cannot be charged at freezing temperatures, and thus supercharging stations have become temporary Tesla graveyards. The fantasy of global warming has robbed people of their transportation and thus their independence. It is no great surprise that Hertz is unloading 20,000 EV’s and replacing them with gas-powered cars. They joined the utopian parade only to realize that it would put them out of business. The “Just Stop Oil” morons in Europe might as well wear shirts reading, “Just Stop Life”. No food deliveries, no reliable electricity for heating or cooling. No fossil fuels and we go back over 100 years.
And what of the trans fantasy? How many girls and women have to end up in an ER due to some dude playing a sport and spiking a ball or hitting them with exceptional force and violence? We know of wounded women in volleyball and field hockey. Now boxing has allowed guys to go out and pummel the ladies. I hope that they fight all such fights across the street from the local hospital, because medical services will be needed. How high does the female body count or the stolen gold medals have to reach before women are allowed to compete solely amongst themselves?
And what of trans and the destruction of children—via surgeries and chemicals of unknown long-term effects? No normal parent would have doctors cut off a child’s hand for no reason or administer a potentially dangerous drug if not absolutely necessary. But with a demented belief that boys can be girls and vice versa, parents, teachers, and doctors subject children to surgical and chemical treatments that may leave them sterile and destroy their futures. The whole business is based on a non-biological fantasy that one can change his or her sex, something that is truly impossible.
The border is another leftist fantasy. Just this week, Joe Biden and his mouthpieces told us that the border is secure. Tell that to the border towns that are overrun and even the blue cities that don’t know what to do with the tens of thousands of illegal aliens sent their way. Wages are lowered, crime goes up, and places like O’Hare Airport or New York schools drop their original purposes and become dormitories for people who came to the US illegally. The fantasy of unlimited immigration has real consequences for the quality of life, safety, and income of millions of Americans. But the left lives in its fantasy and hopes that more and more will keep coming.
While Donald Trump can at times be petty or vain, one thing is clear: he has a better grasp on the truth than those who wish to throw him in jail or take him off of the ballot. When he talks about America’s friends and foes or the needs of the US economy, his words speak to millions who are tired of being dragged along by the left’s fantasy adventure. A good student can get thrown out of school because he refuses to go along with the pronoun police. How many dedicated soldiers were discharged because they refused to take an experimental drug that they correctly believed that they did not need? How many students’ lives were ruined by being forced to stay home when the threat of Covid was remote for them? How many businesses were shuttered for the same reason?
Americans living in reality want leaders who share their real lives, concerns, hopes and dreams. The fantasies of the left bring illness, destruction, economic decline and danger. Donald Trump’s massive victory in Iowa may be the first step in the return to a reality-based America. The country can no longer afford the fantasies of its leaders and the self-appointed elite.
