Democrats Are Laying the Groundwork Blaming Republicans for Midterm Losses

Do you remember a time in the last two years when a Democrat took responsibility for a failed policy or outcome that did more harm to the American people than good? If you are scratching your head trying to find an example, one doesn’t exist. Democrats refuse to take responsibility for their actions, blaming everyone and everything else. Heading into what appears to be a likely beating in the midterms Democrats are laying the groundwork to blame “voter suppression” for their losses.

In recent years, states have pushed for election reform to dissuade efforts to undermine election integrity. These reforms, such as voter ID laws, are largely popular with the average American and garner support from both sides of the aisle.

Of course, leading Democrats have subsequently harangued Republicans, accusing them of instituting “Jim Crow 2.0.” The most notable example is Georgia’s Election Integrity Act of 2021. The Left’s most heralded election denier, Stacey Abrams, led the charge in claiming Georgia’s election laws were an effort to suppress votes. Contrary to the false accusations, Georgia saw the largest turnout in the 2022 primaries with more than 1.9 million Georgians casting their ballots, compared to 1.16 million in 2018. Early voting rates in Georgia’s primaries were even higher than they were before the 2020 presidential election. Now, with a week left to go  election day, over 13 million early votes have been cast. Almost half a million more Georgians have voted early at this point in the 2018 election.

If voter suppression were taking place, wouldn’t we be seeing fewer early ballot counts? This is one of many ploys in which Democrats will use to excuse their failed and out of touch policies and their failure to prioritize the safety and wellbeing of the American people. In addition to this tactic, they will also blame the voters for their losses.

The Democrats are losing a portion of their base due to their radical policies and an “America Last” agenda. Because Republicans have focused on securing our southern border, stopping crime, revitalizing our energy independence, reducing inflation, and unleashing our economy, Democrats are voting Republican. As a result, Democrats will accuse Republicans of spreading misinformation. Democrats fail to realize that it’s not just so-called “Ultra-MAGA” Americans who care about a secure border, safer neighborhoods, a flourishing economy, etc., those are the concerns of all Americans.

Not only will Democrats blame the voters for their downfall, but they will also blame Vladimir Putin, China, and the Saudis for their losses. The Biden administration declared war on fossil fuels day one of Biden’s presidency, depleting oil production in the U.S. by millions of barrels per day, forcing the U.S. to return to depending on our foreign adversaries for oil. The U.S. relied on 500,000 barrels of oil a day from Russia until war broke out in Eastern Europe, forcing Congress to vote to stop the importation of Russian oil. Oil from OPEC is another “must have” for the Biden administration, until OPEC snubbed Biden by cutting oil production before the midterm election, forcing Biden in a political stunt to deplete our nation’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve, hoping to buy American votes with cheaper gas prices.

But Joe Biden can’t even get his messaging straight, seeing as he went on to blame oil companies this past week for this year's gas prices. Judging from his remarks on Monday, Biden now wants to raise taxes on domestic oil producers if they do not “bring down prices.” Higher taxes on oil producers will no doubt lead to even higher gas prices as companies pass off the costs to consumers. This is an economic principle so basic that even a blind Keynesian zealot like Biden should understand. Are we to truly believe that this is his best closing argument?

At this point, it's almost comical that Biden is so willfully ignorant of the fact that his own policies have robbed the US of the critical infrastructure necessary to maintain adequate supply chains for energy.

In addition to blaming oil producers for the price of gas, Democrats have gone back to the same tired playbook of blaming foreign powers for Republicans’ success at the ballot box. There’s no doubt that Russia and China will also be accused of hacking into our elections and stealing the election for the benefit of Republicans. Like the Mueller investigation, these claims may be another witch hunt that will waste taxpayer dollars and other resources.

The Democrats will refuse to take responsibility for their failed leadership over the last two years and find any scapegoat they can to protect themselves. A red wave is coming, but the Democrats will stop at nothing to ensure they maintain power and control the narrative with their radical agenda.
