Only 19 percent of Latinos have sought out health insurance on the exchanges, according to a Commonwealth Fund survey. The government launched CuidadoDeSalud.gov (the Spanish form of Healthcare.gov) in December. One reason for the scant interest could be that many Latino families have never had health insurance, according to Xavier Morales, executive director of the Latino Coalition for a Healthy California.
