Democrats Oppose Offshore
President Bush has lifted an executive order that banned offshore drilling. Now, it's up to Congress to follow suit.

Democrats (particularly Riceroni)
I'm 67 years old and have live through the cold warith the threat of communisim. The Russians back in the 50's said "we will bury you without firing a shot". In other words, they will infiltrate every facit of our society until they have taken us over. So when they say Reagan defeated communisim, they are entirely wrong! Just look at the media, our colleges and universities, hollywood and our judicial system. So over time I have seen a gradual loss of our freedoms from how you raise your children to you second amendment rights. Today, the absurd, ridiculous and the insane is the rule, not the exception. So riceroni, if I were you, I would think long and hard about what you stand for. You may get it!

Democrats (commies)
The democrats (communists) headed by Reid and Pelosi are blocking every possible avenue to obtaining more oil from our own reserves. I think they should be punished. So I volunteer to spank Pelosi someone has to do it might as well be me.

Conservative Greed
If conservatives are so concerned about us and oil supply and prices at the pump, why didn't Ronald Reagan do this back in 1980, this was very shortly after the oil embargo. Conservatives had the chance back then to set this nation on the path of energy independence, Brazil has done it. This is it in a nutshell, people see this for the two bit plan it is to make fat cat oil companies and oil investors even richer, it won't impact the prices at the pump one bit, and anyone who even think that Bush, Cheney, or any of their cohorts even care are either in denial or stupid. How about this, everyone how voted for this doofy idiot who got us into this mess in the first place and didn't vote for Gore or Kerry fill up everybody else's vehicle who voted the other way until we're out of this crisis.

Dislikes contradicts...
So let me get this straight... Republicans get kickbacks from oil companies, but they did not vote for drilling years ago... because they did not want the money the oil companies would give?
Makes a lot of sense to me. *RME* So either republicans do not get the kickbacks.. or perhaps the environment has changed such that now makes sense.
And I see you are drinking the liberal koolaid on the existing land. If there is oil on it they would be drilling or at least exploring if there is oil to drill. That is provided they are not blocked from doing even exploratory drilling by the environmentalists.
So remind me again..what liberals are proposing to lower the price of oil of energy in this decade? Oh yeah some alternative energy yet to be invented.

drilling now won't help
If conservatives are so smart then why didn't the republician congress start drilling years ago when they had the power? Apparently they weren't thinking or looking towards the future of america. Oil companies have land they haven't even begun to drill on yet. Why? It's all about greed and power. And we all know politicians get a good chunk of money from oil companies. Especially republician politicians. End of story!
