Reid needs all 60 members of his caucus to vote for Obamacare if it is to pass, so Lieberman's vote is crucial
. But
since since health care is such an important issue
for the Democrats, Lieberman's willingness to buck the party line on Obamacare as
an indication of newfound confidence

Here are the more obvious ones
1)Senator Warner (VA)
2)Senator Landrieu (LA)
3)Senator Bayh (IN)
4)Senator Lincoln (AR)
Next November the Dems will have to defend some 14 seats. With a falling dollar (and a most likely return of inflation), double digit unemployment, and trillion dollar annual budget defecits, voting for ObamaCare is lethal

Is this the same Joe Lieberman, who introduced "Cap and Trade"? Yeah, he's going to carry the anti- Health Care banner? Right into the Cap and Trade legislation. When will we learn? NEVER! Tomorrow is Trust a Politician Day! NOT...

Where does it say the Senate needs 60 votes to pass something besides treaties, impeachments, and veto overrides?

There is great disappointment if in fact "all" the democrat senators vote for this unconstitutional bill. But even if they don't, some of the RINO's for some reasons known only to them will vote for it. Then there are the pseudo-Repubs who in their hearts are really Dems who might go for it if absolutely needed.

Newfound confidence? Is that a different "confidence" than he had when he spoke at the Republican convention, more than a year ago?

this bill won't pass, do you? Of course it will.
Guaranteed: there will be some form of healthcare reform bill passed.
You can cite all the stats you want, but it remains that more people want reform than not. And house & senate know they can't let the status quo continue -- too many people need this help.

Are you this stupid or is it an Act? The bill goes to conference first for review. It will then only need a majority vote to reach the Senate floor. That is all but guaranteed. The chance of a filibuster, is worst in the Senate, than the House. The Health Care Bill will be signed into law, before New Years.

JOE owes the dems NOTHING and owes his voters everything.HE WILL NOT BE A PART OF THIS WATCH, he will kill it with the republicans, and I hope when he does it he gives Reid the finger right on the senate floor, and tells him (reid) to sit on it on his way out the door this next NOVERBER, when hes kicked out of office forever!!!!!!!!

Budget-Only sleight-of-hand, there will be endless PR pluses for the Repubs AND the bill will be gutted paragraph by paragraph with everything NON-Specifically "Budget".
It'll be a very entertaining bloodbath. And, Beta-Male Bammo will lose.

Oh but how bad i looks when Reid cannot get so many to buy onto this program from his own party. Lieberman, who has always been a great proponent of liberal programs, not buying in certainly does not look good for this bill or for the dems. But hey as long as they can cram it through nothing else really matters to the libs.

Senator Reid does not need Joe Lieberman or 60 votes! Once this Bill goes to conference, procedures allow a vote, which requires only a 51 majority. If you are going to play the game, please learn the "RULES". Shankapodamus......

Also, the Heritage Foundation's "Morning Bell" E-Bulletin out this a.m. is a nice piece of update: "A Death Blow For Obamacare" deals with the newest Face Reality facts released from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services: Bammycare would increase the NHE costs-expenditures by $289-Billion ABOVE what the Administration and Dems in Congress are claiming.(*National Health Estimate*). The Centers administer Medicare & Medicaid.
Baa-Daa-Bing. Like Dat.
