According to WRAL, "the Honda was turning left onto Bonneville Court from New Hope Church Road. The Honda crashed into the motorcycle, which was traveling westbound on New Hope Church Road, when the Honda driver failed to yield the right of way."

Witnesses say the crash was horrific and left them traumatized. "I've been disturbed. I'm still disturbed talking about it," said one neighbor. "I'm traumatized. It was horrific," she said.

The victim, Jamar Rashaun Beach of Raleigh, died from injuries sustained during the crash. Cruz-Carmona left the scene but was tracked down shortly after.

Officials say Cruz-Carmona is being held on an ICE detainer at the Wake County Detention Center. It is unclear what nationality Cruz-Carmona is.
