Artist Shepard Fairey designed the iconic “Hope” poster with the intention of making Barack Obama a nationalized man — now he is having second thoughts on his word choice.
While leaving a high-end Hollywood restaurant, a reporter asked Fairey:
“Given Obama’s track record now, would you put a different word besides “Hope” at the bottom of the image?”
The laughing response:
“A yeah, I’d put a few different ones.”
But none he was willing to tell the cameraman, aside from the word “drones.” Now that would have made for a different campaign wouldn’t it?
