Progressive Reporter Rips Into Don Lemon Over His Tantrum About Elon Dumping His Show

Progressive Reporter Rips Into Don Lemon Over His Tantrum About Elon Dumping His Show

Former CNN host Don Lemon tried to tap into Tucker Carlson's success by broadcasting a program on Twitter or X, but his operation was aborted before much of anything could get off the ground. Lemon interviewed Elon Musk for what has become his first and only interview for his show.

Of course, Lemon tried to play the victim card, but one progressive reporter wasn't having any of it. Before we get into that, let's reevaluate how this little media blow-up came about (via Associated Press):

Elon Musk abruptly canceled “The Don Lemon Show” on his social media network X after the former CNN anchor recorded an interview with the billionaire for its as-yet unaired first episode.

Musk owns X, formerly known as Twitter, and frequently proclaims himself a “free speech absolutist.” In a post on X, the San Francisco-based company said only that after careful consideration, it “decided not to enter into a commercial partnership with the show.” It added that Lemon’s show “is welcome to publish its content on X, without censorship, as we believe in providing a platform for creators to scale their work and connect with new communities.”

In a video posted to X, Lemon declared that “ Elon Musk is mad at me ″ and said he will be airing his interview with the Tesla CEO on YouTube and via podcast on Monday.

I won’t go into details, but if you’ve watched Lemon on CNN, you could guess how this interview with Musk turned out. And, of course, the liberal media viewed it as confirmation that Musk was truly evil personified. Lemon even went so far as to suggest that Musk was uncomfortable with being interviewed by a gay man.

Progressive reporter Glenn Greenwald, who is also gay, wasn’t having any of it, saying that a network paid Lemon millions to watch his show that no one watched either. He described Lemon’s homophobia trolling “as predictable as it is dreary, as pompous as it is petulant.”

Lemon also reportedly had quite the demand list for his services on Twitter (via NY Post):

Don Lemon demanded the sun, the moon and the stars from the SpaceX boss – before being unceremoniously dumped this week, The Post has learned.

The ex-CNN anchor sent over an astronomical wish list to Elon Musk during contract talks to host a show on the billionaire’s social media platform X – including a free Tesla Cybertruck, a $5 million upfront payment on top of an $8 million salary, an equity stake in the multibillion-dollar company, and the right to approve any changes in X policy as it relates to news content, according to a document reviewed by The Post.

Lemon — who was expected to air an interview with Musk for next week’s debut episode on X — had also demanded a private jet flight to Las Vegas, a suite for him and his fiance, and that the company pay for their day drinking and massages, a source with knowledge of the situation said.

Don, you’re already rich. Just fade away and be happy.
