Ouch!  Huck Hits Mitt on Immigration


ABC News reports that Mike Huckabee has hit Mitt Romney on Immigration:

"I guess Mitt Romney would rather keep people out of college so they can keep working on his lawn," said Huckabee while appearing on the Fox News Channel.

Huckabee is on Romney's heels in Iowa, and this statement makes it clear that he is going to fight for first place (and here, I thought they were going to play nice)...

Immigration is a big issue everywhere, but it is really resonating in Iowa. 

As I recall, a few months ago, John McCain was criticized by some for mentioning this Boston Globe story.  It will be interesting to see if Huckabee is able to pull it off.

I have no illusions that Romney's team will allow Huckabee to continue saying such things, without punching back.  This could get interesting ...
