White House Correspondents' Dinner Comedian Michelle Wolf Dares Trump to Show Up at the Event

Michelle Wolf, the comedian who will be featured at the upcoming White House Correspondents' Dinner, dared President Trump to attend the event on Jimmy Kimmel Live Monday night after saying that she was happy the president was not attending the event so she didn’t have “to hear Trump eat.”

“The first thing I thought was, ‘Oh, thank God. I don't have to hear Trump eat,’” Wolf told Kimmel. “You know he doesn’t chew with his mouth closed. He’s probably a real smacky eater—like a mouth breather at the same time.”

She said that if the president does end up coming, “It would be real fun.”

“I’d like to look him in the eye; I like making fun of people when they’re there,” she said.

“I wish he would come too,” Kimmel agreed. He encouraged Wolf to dare Trump to attend the event.

Wolf obliged by turning to the camera and saying, “I dare you, you poor little man! I’ll give you five dollars if you come.”

“I’ll make it $10 if you come,” she said at the end of the show.

Wolf has never been a fan of the president, telling The Hollywood Reporter that she cried when he won. She has also tweeted some controversial things about Trump and his family over the past year, including calling Trump the “dumbest President ever” and comparing Ivanka Trump to an “empty box of tampons.”

President Trump announced earlier this month that he would be skipping the event, as he did last year, but will be sending his press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders instead.
