If you've been paying attention to the latest viral controversy this week, you know that the following audio says "Yanny," not "Laurel."
What do you hear?! Yanny or Laurel pic.twitter.com/jvHhCbMc8I

It says Yanny. Those who claim it says "Laurel" are spreading fake news.
Regardless, the Air Force sent a Yanny vs. Laurel reference out on their Twitter feed Thursday morning about the Taliban.
By the afternoon, they took it down and apologized.
We apologize for the earlier tweet regarding the A-10. It was made in poor taste and we are addressing it internally. It has since been removed.

The question is why. It was awesome.
I can’t believe the @usairforce just deleted the best tweet ever tweeted on Twitter dot com. SMDH. pic.twitter.com/iDkGXVilB4

A-10 is an awesome machine and there was nothing wrong with the comment

Agree, Katie. Of all groups, the Air Force should not be politcally correct when it comes to terrorists! A-10’s are awesome and to be feared.
