DNC Slams Trump...For Not Building The Border Wall?

As the DNC struggles to find a way to raise money, they seem to be throwing everything up against the Trump White House in hopes something will stick.

Their latest tactic? Attacking President Trump because the border wall isn't built yet.

"Trump's empty promises on border wall," a recent DNC email says. "Trump has failed to deliver on his signature promise to build a border wall and have Mexico pay for it."

An interesting choice considering Democrats like House and Senate Minority Leaders Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer have vowed to do everything in their power to prevent the wall from happening, which of course is the opposite of what they've promised in the past.

As a reminder, it was Schumer who voted in 2006 to build 700-miles of double layer fencing on the southern border with Mexico in order to "establish operational control over the international land and maritime borders of the United States."

During a rally in Phoenix this week President Trump vowed to secure funding for the wall, even if it means shutting down the government over a budget fight with Democrats.

"The obstructionist Democrats would like us not to do it, but believe me, if we have to close down our government, we're building that wall," Trump said. "Let me be very clear to Democrats in Congress who oppose a border wall and stand in the way of border security. You are putting all of Americans' safety at risk."
