What's Carly Fiorina's Next Big Move?

Former Hewlett-Packard CEO and GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina has been busy publicly rebutting Hillary Clinton's claims on the campaign trail for months and now she's reportedly eyeing an RNC chairmanship once the 2016 election finally reaches a conclusion.

Carly Fiorina’s quiet outreach to state party chairs in recent days has top Republicans speculating that she’s laying the groundwork for a Republican National Committee chairmanship bid.

Fiorina’s advisers have reached out to more than a dozen state parties telling them that the former GOP presidential hopeful is prepared to help in “any way,” offering up her personal phone number, and informing them that she would like to connect with their respective state party chairperson.

She is expected to spend much of August on a cross-country blitz.

During the GOP primary Fiorina had a number of clashes with the RNC regarding their process for main stage debate qualification. She left the GOP primary in February 2016 and in April was announced as Texas Senator Ted Cruz' vice presidential pick.

Current RNC Chairman Reince Priebus is the longest serving chairman and in his third term. It is not clear whether he will run for re-election.
