President Donald Trump hit the ground running on Monday morning, meeting with business executives to discuss job creation and manufacturing in the United States.

"We want to start making our products again. We don’t want to bring them in. We want to make them here," Trump said as he laid a few ground rules in economic policy.  “That doesn’t mean we don’t trade because we do trade, but we want to make our products here.”

Trump was flanked by CEOs such as Elon Musk, who heads Tesla and SpaceX.

"There will be advantages for companies that do indeed make their products here," Trump promised the group.

And if a business leader decides to leave the U.S. and abandon American workers, there will be financial penalties the President said.

But in return, Trump said regulations and taxes will be cut upwards of 75 percent.

“All you have to do is stay. Don’t leave. Don’t fire your people in the United States,” the President said.
