I am sure you both realize that your service to this country was certainly not as valuable as ACORN currently is to the politicians in power.
Our military men and women both active and retired deserve our first consideration when it comes to money. They have given their all, risked their lives and made us proud for many years. It is so distressing to see that we have now turned our country over to a group of thugs who see far more merit in the services of groups like ACORN than they do our service personnel.

A funny:
The staff maintenance guru, a chief electronics tech was something of a joker. He jumped the chief of staff of our carrier group in the war room in winter of 1981 and said: "COS, I'm really pis*sed!" The COS, something of an over-the-hill older fellow, asked him what was wrong. Nick said: "We received a pay raise in January. We received a Variable Housing Allowance in February. We received Sea Pay in March. Here it is April and NOTHING!"
The old chief of staff was sorta set back on his heels until he realized that he'd been had!

I'm retired Navy. This year I did not receive a cost of living allowance increase to my retired pay, BUT my federal income tax withholdings did increase. So after one year of Ozero at the helm, I am now receiving $100 a month LESS than in 2009.
God please don't let this dolt remain in office for two terms or my retired pay will be down to nothing.

Agreed.
National defense - priority number one.
From there we (should) go down the line and fund our priorities until we reach a point where there are no more available funds. If that means we only get to priority 'S', then so be it. Priority items 'T' through 'Z' are screwed. They weren't as high a priority as some thought that they were.

If there is any stimulus money to be spent on anything, it should be spent on our troops and their wage hikes and state of the art equipment updates.
I say rid the social spending and waste of tax dollars by the libs on their own re-election bids and waste it on our military. We have to be guarded by the military to maintain our sovereignty to have money to spend first and foremost. Agreed?
