You do remember "personal responsibility" right? I must have read those words a thousand times on this site when a conservative wanted to make a point about someone they perceived to be getting something for nothing.

And what happened to "keep the government out of my life" and "I can make my own decisions?"

I thought you conservatives were big on that kind of stuff?

I never could understand why it was illegal for a woman, or man, to provide sex for money. Even being an escort or paid companion is illegal in some places.

I hired a computer programmer for my company in the 90's. The gentleman had gain so much experience in the prior 3 years (four positions held with three companies) he was awarded with a generous salary and a valuable stock option plan (but the options were only earned if he stayed with the company for 24 months).

He left after 14 months due to the market demand for his skills. Wouldn't expect any Libs to understand Supply and Demand, though.

No, Conservatives in Name Only, legalizing prostitution is not a way to deal with a deficit, but it IS something you'd favor if you actually wanted smaller government and more personal accountability. What you actually want is a Christian theocracy, ergo you are not conservatives, and you are not much different from the liberals you complain about bitterly.

Encourage the legalization of prostitution. (you would think that would be easy given the number elected people and celebs that keep them in business)

Be able to claim the earnings toward social security. If her only job is under the table (sheets?)then she has a gap in earnings and a reduction in income for calculation of Social Security payments. Maybe she could front as a waitress and report it as tips.

I'll bet on the latter, but she could also be doing the former for an activist organization, and be a prostitute for the cause instead of a true "sex worker". I can see various unions wanting to get their hands on the money that could be accomplished by legalization of the working girls and male counterparts.

Note... I'm not saying prostitution should be illegal (and what is the difference between a streetwalker and a "modern" woman who trades sex for drinks/dinner anyway?) - I am just noting that taxing it, or taxing pot, will NOT solve government budget problems.

She didn't say it was "the right way to deal with a deficit." The implication, obviously, is to make prostitution legal. Of course, conservatives would never have that, since they believe that the RIGHT WAY TO DEAL WITH the world's oldest profession is to have it managed by the sleaziest criminals and keep women enslaved or on drugs or on both.

I would say Princess the prostitute does not owe any taxes. According to IRS tax code up to $13,000 per year can be given as a gift to anyone.

go to her local acorn office and see if they can assist her in pating taxes on her earnings, they knew how to aviod taxes, maybe they can figure out how to actually pay them, I dont think she can get help from Geitner, or DODD , OR A NUMBER OF GOVERNMENT AND ADMINISTRATION MEMBERS, they wont know how to pay taxes, just how to waste them, but acorn might , I doubt it though.
