, an unindicted co-conspirator in the World Trade Center bombing, to speak at their campus. Queens is a public school, and the MSA is a school-funded organization, so Wahhaj's appearance is funded by taxpayers.
During a pre-event debate about the event with the College Republicans
, an MSA member apparently muttered
"If I had enough money I would be part of the jihad army, I would kill all the Jews," and then reportedly said something about getting a bomb. Despite the outcry, the school fell back on the "free speech" defense when talking about Wahhaj's appearance, and declined to address security precautions being taken after the MSA member allegedly made the threats.
