Here's a Washington Post headline and teaser -- at the top of their home page for most of today:
Lawmakers warm to the public option
Senators offer state opt-out; Pelosi says House has nearly enough votes

Well, that's one way to spin it. The news today has been about Pelosi's inability to pass the "robust" public option -- the one bandied about by a lot of Democratic leaders and the one Obama has been pushing for since he took office. The news today was that she won't get that passed, and will have to fall back on a state-opt in version of the public option. So, lawmakers aren't "warming" to the public option, at least not the one she's been pushing... they're warming to a more conservative alternative.

Leave it to the Post to spin the news as pro-Obama as possible.
