I do with Regret post a correction and a grave error I made last Sunday saying the Fastest or Hottest Selling T Shirt was not the President Bush Miss me yet, and instead it was a picture of President Bush with a half face of President Obama saying at the bottom: "One and the Same with No change"
I send out sincere appoligies to both democrats and republicans and with regret to say if I ever say anything more on a post to a sight I will recheck my sources and recheck my work before making an erronious posting. Thanks and I do hope you all forgive me as it will not ever happen again. As I always say, let the best man win and in this case, yea let the best T - Shirt WIN. It truly was the Bush T shirt do you miss me yet. Thank...

Remind us all of the last time the USA "fomented" a war, rather than responded to an act of aggression.
I am all in favor of limited government. If I were King, I would look first at the enumerated powers of the Federal government, assess the cost of providing those duties for today's society, and determine the simplest, least obtrusive method to collect the funds needed for those services. Most everything else is a state issue.

Well how observant of ewe, Ryan. I thought I had everybody scammed. Now you say you have me spotted as the unknown mastermind of illegal immigration! Ryan sez so, must be true.
MY illegals! I was their proprietor; their guardian! And, since I did it; Obama had little choice but to let loose the dogs of socialist takeover! He spent more than Ryan expected, but-- it was the peons fault all the while; whom I sponsored secretly.
They ran up a big bar bill on Obambi. (It only took about 10 months. More debt to come, huh, Ryan Them pesky brown worms!!! That dreadnaugty alien-smuggler! White POWER!

Yeah, by big statesman El Ryan, to us plebeians:
"I don't think there is much difference between Obama and Cheney when it comes to deficits."
Sure, Your excellency.
We disregard a deficit of eleven trillion clams; a pittance. Check revenue from our grandchildren's account. Takes care of Obama's expenses.
Isn't he due for his vacation right after Martha's Vinyard? "Let the Good times Roll!"

And in his hindsight, Ryan didn't even spot Saddam Hussein. (The founding fathers didn't foresee him, either.)

Yes, that is the way I see it as well. Things have rotted to the point that folks see politics not as a life and death matter, but as a sporting event.
Between the govt. schools, tv and talk radio the globalist establishment has most people where they want them, yelling at each other over things that at the end won't make any difference in their lives, instead of comparing notes about the folks who are really causing the problems.
For a while there it looked like folks were waking up, but that was dealt with by idiocy at home and fearmongering abroad. Bernays would be pleased.

[Don't you get the impression that the idiocy about that community center is being stirred up precisely because the powers that be don't want people to make the comparisons you made above?]
The longer I live and the more I see, the more convinced I am that much of the conservative, liberal, and establishment press is designed to keep us distracted or rooting for one team over the other, instead of informing us about just how badly we're all getting screwed by both teams.

"But I'm just silly that way."
I reckon a few of us here are as well. Facts, logic and reason have no place with some folks if it means giving up an illusion built upon lies and erroneous information. I suppose it comes down to what letter a politician has after his name.

I missed the part in the Constitution and the oath of office where the President and Vice President of the United States are charged with liberating the globe and fomenting war for the sake of Democracy.
[Compare Cheney's resume' to Obama's, if you dare. No contest - in favor of Cheney.]
Sure. Let's see...
Bush/Cheney:
Spendthrift economic policy - Check
Unnecessary and unfunded wars - Check
Civil liberties violations - Check
Ignoring the Constitution - Check
Funneling money to Wall St. and special interests - Check
Lawbreaking and pressuring Congress to retroactively make it legal - Check
Violating international treaties - Check
Obama/Biden:
Spendthrift economic policy -...

It's interesting that the teabaggers see this article--which mostly features an upbeat attitude towards the Obama's visit--as one to tout on their blog. Why? Because look at the image of the former President on the tee--does it invoke the kind of confidence you'd want from a former leader?
Nah--my first impression is that this is a tee shirt poking fun at those who are grumbling loudly about the man who was elected to clean up the GIANT mess Bush left. It's a reminder, folks, of what we DON'T miss and shouldn't wish for.
Tongue in cheek is lost on you.
Seriously, people. We're talking MARTHA'S VINEYARD, not Poakpie, Kentucky.

You are absolutely correct. No one with "half a brain" misses George Bush. Those of us with "whole brains" however, miss the rational and sane approach George Bush brought to governance.

I'm wasn't comparing Cheney to Obama above, but I'll make a comparision anyway.
I don't think there is much difference between Obama and Cheney when it comes to deficits. Afterall, didn't Cheney say “Reagan proved deficits don’t matter”. That is how I remember him putting it. They don't to Obama either.

That would be: "Liberate the world - even those whose brethren mean us harm, because we don't lump them all into one pile based on theology or ideology, as they may share a geographic space but not personal preferences different from their leaders (er, masters)".

Because, face it -- NO one with half a brain wishes that boob back.
BTW:
According to CBS News correspondent Mark Knoller, who doubles as the unofficial White House press corps statistician, this Martha's Vineyard jaunt will be Obama's 22nd vacation trip (including Camp David visits) since taking office, and he has spent all or part of 68 days of his presidency on such excursions.
At the same juncture of his presidency, George W. Bush had taken 57 vacation trips, which took up all or part of 227 days.

it interesting and informative to visit "The Cafferty File" site and read through his question, "Who sent clearer message as president, Bush or Obama?" of August 18th.
The comments surprised sheer hell out of me!
This CNN site is frequented, mainly, by left-leading folks and the comments are almost alway to the left, regardless of the question asked by Jack.
Not so this time. I didn't keep a tally, but it appears that the majority of the many who commented believed President Bush had the clearer message.
Many of the liberals started or ended their "Bush was clearer" comment by adding something like: "I never thought I'd say this, but . . ."
Several thought Obama tried to be all things to all people...
