Mr. TOTUS (Teleprompter Of The United States) really stuck it to his great nemesis this time. It appeared to be a clean shot right on Obama's Adam's apple.

OK, the right wing is running low on topics to rile the natives with, so apparently they're recycling the old ones. Knowing that the attention span of most internet wingnuts is shorter than a fruit fly's adolescence, it's probably a good strategy.
What's next? Republican auto dealers shut down? Indoctrination camps? Death panels?

"For the first time in some years, likely voters trust Republicans more than Democrats on all ten major issues in the Rasmussen survey. On five issues the Republican lead is double digit"
I guess it depends on what poll one sees/believes -- actually it depends on the accuracy of the poll. Heard last week that a poll concerning the public option by WASHPO had a strangely worded question and was weighted towards democrats. (Hint: There are lots more independents than democrats.)

Funny you should mention polls, dog. As the Obama numbers falter, the Rethugs have failed to gain - why is that? Instead, you assclowns have literally TANKED to Cheney's level! Now, THAT'S unfavorable as it gets!!
Yeah, Obama and the Dems are suffering some fallout from the dithering that the GOP has forced on us all. Obama needs to haul off and kick the sh*t out of the asshats in the Senate who are stalling the process, and that includes the dumbos on the Dems side who are guided more by Rethuggian greed than anything resembling duty to the American people. WE ARE ROOTING for the Obama administration to plant one ginormous swift kick in Rethug @ss and move us forward. You can BET his numbers will soar the day that happens.

"The tally for Bush was kept up-to-date"
Yes, because Bush was so deliciously ignorant - at least when he wasn't sending troops to their death for lies. An arrogant murderous buffoon like Bush deserved his lot, so stop whining, you asshat.

announcing the "capture" of Republican operatives!
I think, perhaps, TOTUS is a mite disenchanted with Captain Obumbles and his lack of commitment to ANYTHING!
charityseeker, I think you have a valid point. I watched Rahmie on John King and the implied threat was "go along if you want access!"

"Economy in which we all share opportunity is also an economy in which we all share crisis. We’ve faced threats to our security that seek – there are threats to our security that are based on those who would seek to exploit the very inter-connectedness and openness that is so essential to our prosperity."
Notice the self contradiction. First he says we all share the crisis. Then he says some are smart enough to see the crisis coming and position themselves so they can profit from the situation. Naturally he disparages the latter.

index has ranked between a negative 9 and a negative 13 for past few days -- and there are mucho news articles that show his approval has dropped faster in the quarter than anybody since 1953.
It must be getting really bad when his sidekick, Mr. Teleprompter throws him beneath the bus.

I don't mind the occasional mispoken or mispronounced word. I don't mind the occasional pause while a speaker gathers (or re-gathers) himself. People whos speak for a living are bound to stumble now and then. That's understandable.
Typically, though, the speaker has a clear notion of what he's saying, where he is within his comments, and where he's going with them. He knows the point he's trying to make even if he stumbles at one point or another.
But what is different about The Obamessiah is that when he has one of these episodes, it is apparent that he really has no clue as to what he was trying to say in the first place.

...kept up to date.
Even when there were long periods of time between his penchant for mumbling and messing up a well written phrase, the media would not let the public forget what a lousy public speaker he was.
I winced often while listening to him. It was really sad sometimes, the degree to which he could foul up a good statement, comment, phraseology.
Obama is not so different with his Ummmmmms, Uhhhhhhhhhhs, and stutterings. He's been recorded so often messing up at the podium and teleprompter, one would think the lamestream media would derive some satisfaction from this. Not so.
They want to forget these moments as much as Obama does.
Perhaps the media hears that, "SSSssssssst" from the lips of Rahm Emanuel....

I eagerly await a pronouncement from Anita Dunn and David Axelrot, that the presidential TOTUS is not a real TOTUS; that it is simply an arm of the Republican Party, and a very opinionated at that.

Without the teleprompter this guy is mindless. One would think with all the problems he has with the prompter he'd have learned to take notes by now.
Oh well, stupid is as stupid does, as the saying goes.
