McCotter: What We Need in Washington Is Someone Who Knows the Future Is Not Big Government

Michigan Rep. Thaddeus McCotter delcared his candidacy for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination yesterday. Here are a few excerpts from his speech:

"What we need in Washington is someone who knows the future is not big government...it is self government."

"The United States will remain a beacon of liberty."

"Our security is from strength not appeasement or surrender."

"Our prosperity is from the private sector not the public sector."
