Defense Secretary Says Someone in Pakistan Knew About Bin Laden

According to an AP News report, Defense Secretary Robert Gates says he believes "somebody" in Pakistan knew about Osama bin Laden.

It's not a surprising statement, but it's another acknowledgement of the hurdle the U.S. faces in its relationship with the country to which it has given significant financial support (an estimated $1.8 billion in FY 2010).

It also correlates with what Obama administration official Jay Brennan, the assistant to the president on Homeland Security, said soon after the bin Laden raid, that he thought it was "inconceivable" that bin Laden did not have a support system in Pakistan.
