Ron Paul Storms off Set During CNN Interview

On Wednesday, Congressman Ron Paul walked off set during an interview with CNN’s Gloria Borger when pressed about a series of controversial newsletters that appeared under his name in the 1980s and 1990s. The newsletters, which reportedly contained racial undertones and incendiary language, are now being scrutinized by the media as a result of his meteoric rise in the Iowa polls. While he stated repeatedly and unequivocally that he didn’t write the newsletters and “disavows” them, Borger argued that as a leading presidential candidate, it was her job to ask these types of tough questions. After a somewhat heated exchange, Congressman Paul terminated the interview.
