Obama Plans to Scout Democratic Talent After White House

Instead of delving back into politics or criticizing his successor following his White House vacancy, President George W. Bush opted to paint and lead a quiet life. That doesn't appear to be the case with President Obama. Soon to be a civilian, Obama by all means is poised to be entrenched in politics for a long time.

Obama told NPR in a recent interview that he is looking forward to finding young talented Democrats to lead the party.

When asked if he wanted to be a "talent scout," Obama said he also hopes to be "a coach" and "a friend."

"Somebody who can build on the incredible work that has already been done by young people," he said, "and that to a large degree was responsible for getting me elected."

Yet, is Obama really who Democrats want leading the talent search? This chart, which was circulating on Twitter, shows just how "beneficial" Obama has been to the Democratic Party.

Not exactly the impact they had in mind.

Nevertheless, the outgoing president has also been fundraising on behalf of the party, encouraging Democrats to prepare for the "fights ahead."

So much for a quiet retirement.
