Dignity in Defeat, Friends

This is a race we've lost, not a relative.  It's a big one, and it hurts. But we will soldier on, because we must.  We will work together, figure out what went wrong last night and fix it (if we can - sorry for that last note of pessimism).  Let's not cannibalize each other or figurativel slit our wrists.  Government is not our God.

Remember Aldous Huxley: Experience is not what happens to a man.  It is what a man does with what happens to him.

Remember Ronald Reagan: I do not believe in a fate that will fall on us no matter what we do. I do believe in a fate that will fall on us if we do nothing.

I've got two children and a country I love to protect. I'm not giving up.  I'm not despairing. I'm taking the rest of the day off (I think) and then, I'll be back.  So will we all, I hope and pray.
