It was only last month that Chicago's 500th homicide of the year had occurred over Labor Day weekend, and unfortunately, the Windy City faced another violent couple of days this past weekend.
Overall, six people were killed and 14 were wounded from Friday afternoon to Saturday morning; from Saturday morning to Sunday morning, one person was killed and 17 were wounded; and from Sunday to just past midnight Monday, one person was killed and at least nine others were wounded.
This brings the total number of people shot in Chicago to at least 1,000 more than the same time last year.
At least 3,475 people had been shot in the city as of Monday compared with 2,441 people shot this time last year, an increase of 1,034, according to the Chicago Tribune. There have been at least 595 homicides this year compared with 409 this time last year, an increase of 186.
Chicago is the perfect example of Obama's failed 'gun-control' theory. He truly believes that if the government restricts gun ownership, murder rates will drop. However, most homicides in Chicago are gun-related. There are nearly 82 shootings per week. His argument that 'gun-free' zones are the answer to prevent violence in cities like Chicago is simply wrong.

When Obama took office, 7,393,000 African-Americans were on food stamps. That number has risen to to 11,699,000. African-Americans are treated as second rate citizens. The social experiment that Obama has imposed upon black communities needs to end because it quite simply has has failed.
