Obama is famous for saying, “If you like your health insurance, you can keep it.” At the time he uttered those words, he knew he was lying to the American people, as internal White House reports predicted 93 million Americans would lose their health insurance. Well, there’s a new lie in town. “If you like your job, you can keep it.” Actually… probably not.

Every day, Americans are fed a new stream of lies about the job situation in our country. In reality, there is no recovery or positive jobs news. There is only a middle class jobs depression.

My new book, The Murder of the Middle Class is a factual account of how America is being destroyed by the purposeful destruction of the middle class. At the core of the plan—wiping out good paying, full-time, middle class jobs.

Exhibit A would be the most recent June and July job reports. The mainstream media reported these last two reports as a “great success.” The truth is you are being lied to. The reports are a middle class jobs Armageddon.

In June, 288,000 new jobs were created. Sounds great, right? The media trumpeted that number. No one bothered to explain what kind of jobs were created. The net positive 288,000 jobs breaks down to 523,000 full-time jobs lost and over 800,000 part-time jobs gained. (June Full-Time Jobs Plunge)

The fact is, since the start of this year almost all new jobs are crappy part-time jobs. The Congressional Budget Office predicted Obamacare would destroy full-time jobs…and that is exactly what it has done. (Obamacare Slowing Growth)

Take New York City. From June 2008 (just before Obama took office and his policies began to be implemented) until this spring, 191,000 low wage jobs were created. That’s compared to just 3,475 middle class jobs over the same time period. (Death of the Middle Class Job)

191,000 versus 3,745 tells one heck of a story. Middle class jobs are on the fast track to extinction. The media choose to hide this fact. They never mention that if you want a job in this Obama economy, you’d better be prepared to flip burgers, clean toilets, mow lawns, or tend bar…and to do those jobs part-time.

Now look at the July jobs number that just came out. Even though it was below June’s number and below estimates, the media still touted the 208,000 jobs created as good news. Once again, we are being lied to.

The first fact in July’s jobs report being hidden from the public is the disaster decimating the key workforce age demographic— 25 to 54, the peak earning years. That critically important age group saw a 142,000 job decline. (Old Workers Hit new Record High Jobs, 25-54 Age Group Slide)

Since the start of this Obama Depression, this key age demographic has lost 2.5 million jobs. Why? Because Americans ages 55 and over are desperate and working longer. Their homes are underwater; their net assets are down by about half since 2007; college costs for their kids have skyrocketed; their monthly household bills for everything from electricity, to gas, to groceries, are at all-time highs—even though the government claims there is no inflation; and thanks to the Fed’s policy of artificially low interest rates, they earn just about zero interest on their savings. The result? America has more over age 55 workers than at any time in history.

Here’s another damning fact about jobs that you’re not being told: since Obama became president, over 11 million working-age Americans have disappeared from the workforce. (11,472,000 Americans Have Left Workforce)

The unemployment rate isn’t declining because more people have jobs. It’s declining because more Americans have stopped looking for work; therefore, they are no longer counted as part of the labor force. This is how a corrupt government and the complicit media use statistics to lie to you.

So, what do the latest job reports really tell us? They tell us more good-paying middle class jobs are being lost than created. They tell us wage growth is non-existent, and that the low-paying jobs being created are only crummy, crappy part-time jobs. They tell us older Americans can’t afford to retire and are working longer, thereby pushing 25 to 54 year olds out of the workforce. If you can’t earn top wages in your prime earning years, how will you ever make it up? The answer is…you won’t.

Obama talks about “inequality.” Congratulations Mr. President your policies are working, creating “enforced poverty.” You’re making everyone equal – equally miserable. But then, that’s been your plan all along, hasn’t it? Everyone gets either a low-wage job, or unemployment and disability benefits. Then you can totally control them with food stamps, free healthcare, literally hundreds of different welfare programs and government subsidies to survive.

With middle class jobs gone, Obama is accomplishing the goal of turning America into a two-class economy (the super-rich and the poor, both dependent on government) like Cuba, Venezuela, or any of the European socialist states. That’s “the murder of the middle class.” The truth is: If you like your job, you’d better pray you keep it. Because you've got the last one.
