A former and a current baggage handler were taken into custody Thursday after the Los Angeles Police Department and airport officers searched the two men's homes in southern Los Angeles and seized more than $100,000 in cash and stolen property, investigators told the Los Angeles Times.

The names of the accused were not yet released.

Investigators are looking into whether the suspects were involved in a criminal ring targeting air travelers.
