If New Hampshire residents voted with their pocketbooks, the libertarian-leaning Texas Congressman Ron Paul would be the most likely challenger to former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney for the Republican presidential nomination.

Romney, who has a summer home in Wolfeboro, N.H., has long been considered the frontrunner in New Hampshire’s first in the nation primary. He is ahead in every poll and has far outstripped his competitors in fundraising, both nationally and in the Granite State.
