As Barack Obama invites in five million illegals to scoop up American jobs, and as those normal Americans lucky enough to still have jobs wait in traffic while morons block the freeway because some Swisher Sweets-puffing felon got himself killed, Hillary Clinton’s chances in 2016 plummet. So it turns out that Obama is likely to achieve one great thing as president – he’ll keep Hillary from ever occupying the Oval Office.
It is important to understand that neither the executive amnesty scam nor the bogus outrage over Ferguson actually had anything to with race per se. Obama and his gang are Marxists. This was always about class. The Obama coalition is not the traditional Democrat coalition. It is primarily a class coalition. It is the Democrat Party base and nothing more, made up of rich/academic upper class whites, the unionized government hack sub-class, and lower class welfare recipients. When it won in 2008 and 2012, the coalition added just enough others to push it over the top. But now, those others – primarily middle and working class people employed in the private sector – are fleeing to the GOP. And those were the people Hillary was counting on supply enough votes to win.
But if you are a regular person who works for a living, especially if you don’t live on a coast, Obama’s coalition doesn’t want you. In fact, it hates you. You’re a racist, and you’re greedy because you don’t want to give your hard-earned tax money to Democrat-voting deadbeats, and you are oh-so-uncouth that you probably never even listen to NPR. That leaves you just one potential political home, a home where Hillary does not live. I mean the GOP, not the bachelor pad Bill shares with his bimbos.
Amnesty was never about Hispanics. It was about creating a permanent poor underclass to be mined for votes. Ferguson wasn’t about the nonexistent phenomena of white cops shooting unarmed black gentle giant college students for no particular reason. It was about keeping core constituents angry while distracting them from the five million job competitors The One just imported.
If sacrificing the life of some working stiff flatfoot from flyover country like Darren Wilson was the price, Obama and crew were happy to pay it. Like all those outside the base, he is expendable.
While this was great for solidifying the coalition that Obama hopes will keep him a power broker long after he leaves office, it’s an albatross for Hillary. Obama can remain a player with a 35% constituency, but Hillary needs 50% + 1 to win. The Obama coalition/Democrat base has the Chablis-swilling limo libs from Marin County, the AFSCME-dues paying DMV diversity consultants, and the big screen-watching EBT cardholder vote nailed down. Everyone else, not so much anymore. And Obama is clearly fine with that.
Hillary was supposed to do what Bill did and bring back those blue collar Dems – the people who make things with their hands, the people who didn’t go to Wellesley, and the government employees like Officer Darren Wilson who actual perform a useful service. But Obama doesn’t need or even want them, and he’s happily driving them away to strengthen his own coalition. He’s refused to stand up against the race hustlers and rioters. And he’s hung the executive amnesty around Hillary’s neck, ensuring that she’ll spend the next two years promising not to undo it – in contrast the GOP nominee who will be talking about little else.
Hillary faces two problems that have potentially mutually exclusive solutions. One is keeping the Obama coalition behind her, and it’s already making noises about fleeing to Big Chief Warren. The other is expanding the coalition to once again include normal people. An executive amnesty she could undo with a pen stroke is not going to be any help with that. Nor are media images of businesses burning because some hardworking cop refused to allow himself to be murdered to please the likes of Al Sharpton.
Hillary is already making moves to escape the trap Obama – who detests her – has set. It was no coincidence that Hillary’s former fellow New York senator Chuck Schumer got up last week and confessed that Obamacare was an utter disaster for the Democrats. That was the signal – she’s going to try to differentiate herself from President Hope and Change by promising Hope and Change Back to the 1990s.
She has to navigate the tightest of tightropes in not alienating the Democrat base, a group that is still the majority of the coalition she’d need to win. That will be hard to do with Obama throwing rotting fruit at her as she tries to walk across the chasm.
She’s not up to it. Let’s face it – Hillary is not a skilled politician any more than her daughter is a skilled journalist worth the $600K NBC threw at her. Everything was handed to Hillary. She married into the White House, paid Bill back by backing him when he started interning the interns, and was presented with both a Senate seat and the State Department. Her entire resume reads, “I am Bill Clinton’s nominal wife.”
Keep in mind that this is a woman who flunked the District of Columbia bar exam. To do that, you literally have to answer the question, “What is a tort?” by drawing a picture of small cake.
A few months ago, it seemed that Hillary was unstoppable. But then we didn’t fully take into account the massive incompetence, narcissism and vindictiveness of Barack Hussein Obama. Perhaps preventing the nightmare of President Hillary Rodham Clinton will be Obama’s greatest – and only – legacy.
