Dear Townhall reader,

On Tuesday, former Special Counsel Robert Hur, who recently released a damning and lengthy report detailing President Joe Biden's willful mishandling of classified information as a private citizen — which we covered extensively in February – testified in front of Congress about his findings.

Every network was glued to the big event. Hur, and the politicians questioning him, were splashed across television screens and onto X feeds all day long. At Townhall, our reporters combed through interview transcripts, Hur's report, and watched his testimony closely for big moments. Thanks to our dedicated team, we had every angle covered.

Just hours prior to Hur taking an oath to tell the truth under questioning from lawmakers, members of the liberal media jumped to Biden's defense.

"The President was fired up about Hur's claim that he couldn't remember when his son Beau died… because it was false," a White House correspondent for CBS News wrote on X.

That was a reference to President Biden's indignant response to Hur's report, which classified him as a "well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory." During those same remarks, which took place late in the night at the White House last month, Biden falsely accused Hur of bringing up his son during investigatory interviews.

"How in the hell dare he raise that?" Biden yelled. "Frankly, when I was asked the question, I thought to myself it wasn't any of their damn business."

But according to the transcript, it was Biden, not Hur, who oddly brought up Beau Biden's death while discussing his mishandling of classified information — reinforcing Biden's highly documented cognitive decline.

Further, we learned President Joe Biden shared classified information with his ghostwriter for a book that made him $8 million. It's on tape.

While the media was quick to exonerate Biden, we highlighted the facts of Hur's findings and pointed out gross double standards the Department of Justice has for former President Donald Trump.
