It is time to give some credit where credit is due. Progressives, and out of touch hosts on news networks, get most of the credit for the many Republican victories on November 2, 2021.
Thank you House Progressive Caucus Chair Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), who Roll Call calls the “Shadow Speaker,” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) for their attempts to cleans the Democratic Party of moderates. Special shout out to the media cheerleaders like MSNBC’s Joy Reid, Rachel Maddow and CNN’s Brian Stelter who are exposing the media’s left-wing bias daily when they open their mouths.
Republicans could not have done it without all of you. We owe you all a debt of gratitude.
A Democratic controlled government is not addressing inflation, education nor any of the other issues occupying the minds of voters these days. Debates over $3.5 trillion versus $1.7 trillion horrifies voters who care about pocketbook issues. No American is going to get all excited about Biden’s Build Back Better plan that does not address rising gas prices, expensive groceries, education, and joblessness. Democrats are out of touch with average Americans.
The activists in action get some credit for some completely unhinged actions and statements. Stalking Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) into a bathroom was unhelpful to the Democratic cause. Activist Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) calling Sen. Joe Manchin’s (D-WV) resistance to the Biden plan as “anti-Black, anti-child, anti-woman and anti-immigrant” is just plain crazy. The Democratic Party is being led into the political abyss by progressives who believe that defunding the police and indoctrinating kids with the educational equivalent of tearing down monuments to George Washington and Thomas Jefferson is a political winner. Instead of thanking moderates for pumping the brakes on spending, progressives are driving them out of the party.
Democratic Socialist will learn nothing going into the critical 2022 midterms. It is likely that Republicans can just sit on their hands for the next two years while they wrestle back control of both chambers of Congress. All Republicans need to do is allow the American people to hear Democrats talking about protecting student trans athletes and defunding the police to get an idea of the Democrat’s priorities.
AOC is the greatest example of a New York socialist trying to impose her distorted view of politics on the nation. AOC said on Instagram, “I think that the results show the limits of trying to run a fully 100 percent super moderated campaign that does not excite, speak to, or energize a progressive base.” This is the same stupid wokeness that James Carville has described recently, yet the progressives will not be listening their own party’s moderates. They actually believe that warmed over socialism is going to attract voters. Somebody at the Republican National Committee (RNC) should make AOC an honorary spokesperson, because every time she opens her mouth, she sends moderates running.
On the issue of Critical Race Theory (CRT), the left says that it is a made-up racist conspiracy by conservatives to gaslight the American public that their kids are being indoctrinated to be future America-hating communists. Dan McLaughlin wrote in National Review on November 1, 2021 that Democrats claim CRT is a fiction of Virginia parent’s imagination. He points to a Virginia government website that states, “Anti-racism requires acknowledging that racist beliefs and structures are pervasive in education and then actively doing work to tear down those beliefs and structures.” That sure sounds like CRT to me. It is never a good political strategy to call voters stupid while telling them they should not believe their own kids.
The media is doing their part. Despite the fact that an African-American Republican won the Lt. Governor’s race in Virginia, MSNBC host Joy Reid called Republicans “dangerous” for sweeping to victory in Virginia by “stoking that kind of soft, White nationalism (that) eventually leads to the hardcore stuff.” Never to be outflanked on playing the race card, MSNBC’s Tiffany Cross announced that a “good chunk of voters are ok with white supremacy.” Bullying voters by calling them racists is everything Republicans could wish for going into an election for control of Congress.
Keep it up progressives; you have done more to forward the cause of Republicans than Republican candidates have done themselves. Whatever you do – keep the progressive crazies as the spokespeople of your party so Americans can see even more evidence that the Democratic Party has been hijacked by a gang of woke soldiers. They will not win, but they are willing to kill their own party to prove a point.
