NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP) -- LifeWay Men, a team at LifeWay Christian Resources, will broadcast a live simulcast event featuring Joe Gibbs and Tony Evans on May 26 from Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina.

The live simulcast, titled after Gibbs' New York Times bestselling book, "Game Plan for Life," follows the theme of helping men focus on godly masculinity.

"Guests present at the event in Charlotte are going to experience a real NASCAR weekend with Joe Gibbs Racing," said Jason Ellerbrook, director of training and event productions at LifeWay. "It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

Online registration opened Oct. 1 for those interested in being an audience member at the live simulcast. The two-hour simulcast is aimed at churches and small groups, although anyone can watch. Registration for the live event and the simulcast is available at LifeWay.com/GamePlan.

Gibbs, who coached the NFL's Washington Redskins to three Super Bowl championships and won three NASCAR Championships as owner of Joe Gibbs Racing, will speak about the impact Jesus Christ has had on his life as a man, husband, father, coach and NASCAR team owner.

"I'm excited about this opportunity to work with LifeWay in an effort to share the 'Game Plan for Life' message with a broad audience," Gibbs said. "God has left us the ultimate game plan in the Bible. Our hope is that this simulcast with LifeWay will provide an easy invitation for people to bring their family and friends to hear that message and an opportunity to follow up with them afterward."

Evans, pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas and voice of the syndicated radio show, "The Alternative with Dr. Tony Evans," will explain how men can go deeper in their walks with Jesus Christ. Evans also is chaplain for the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA and has served as chaplain for the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL.

"This world needs Christian men who will stand up and share their faith through their actions and their words," Evans said. "Getting men plugged into Bible study and accountability groups is a non-negotiable. The Game Plan for Life simulcast will provide a clear road map for this process."

The Game Plan for Life simulcast also will feature a behind-the-scenes look at Joe Gibbs Racing. Those attending the live event will get an insider's look at a NASCAR race shop and have the chance to meet Gibbs and Evans.

"I believe this is going to deeply impact men around the world," Ellerbrook said. "The potential size of the audience and the influence of these men creates an environment where we can really speak into a lot of guys' lives."

There are several ways to participate, said Ellerbrook, two of which are live weekend-long experiences and three other ways to watch the simulcast -- as a church, a small group or men's group or as an individual.
