It’s difficult to find time to govern between golfing and hobnobbing with celebrities for campaign donations, just ask President Obama. But when he does find time to bill taxpayers for his supposedly non-campaign speeches, he decides to speak to just one swath of American voters at a time.
Last week, as I entered Union Station Metro station in Washington, I saw ads for what appeared to be First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” campaign. It was a series of three ads, the first said: “Let’s move hot dogs out of school lunch.” Okay, fine, because, let’s face it, while hot dogs may be scrumptious and all-beef, they look like small batons of questionable meat.
Watch out! The pork-laden farm bill is coming to the People’s House. Just like in the Senate, the same special interests undermining their competitors and crying foul that someone else is getting a better handout will be out in full force to ensure the House of Representatives keeps the government trough filled to capacity, courtesy of the taxpayers.
