Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

"Netanyahu does believe in the peace process," says Ron Dermer, a senior adviser to the Netanyahu campaign. "What he has said is that the top-down approach has not worked, and he wants to try building Palestinian society from the bottom-up." This would entail finally addressing the indoctrination of Palestinian society in the media and in the textbooks, as well as helping the Palestinians create a better daily life through a stronger economy. And Netanyahu wants a peace process that engages the region by actively involving Jordan and Egypt.

In the decade and a half since the Oslo Accords, it would be hard to argue that the existing paradigm of land-for-peace has worked. If anything, there has been regression away from peace, and the Palestinians have suffered greatly over that time.

What most seem to remember about Netanyahu's first stint as prime minister is his political missteps and domestic political scandals. A dispassionate look at the record, though, shows Israel was hit with just three successful suicide bombing attacks in his three years as prime minister—versus four attacks in the three months before his 1996 election.

Just as important, Netanyahu achieved this security while opening Israeli society to economic cooperation with Palestinians. Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were working in Israel or doing business with Israelis, and the Palestinian economy was prospering. Proving wrong the conventional wisdom, Israeli security and the Palestinian economy were simultaneously strong.

Freshly sworn in as president, Obama has made a number of rookie mistakes. He should not add to that list by criticizing the Israeli people for their democratic preferences.

Obama might even come to realize it is the best outcome for which he could have hoped.

History
Israel has been under attack by Islamic terrorists for 50 years. Our media never tells all of the attacks but condemns Israel for defending herself. If you look at our history, when we backed Israel our economy grew, when we didnt our economy tanked. When Iran gets nukes they will not only attack Israel but every Christian nation IE the United States. There president and the Mullas have one agenda world domination, IE kill all Christians and non Muslims. You forget GOD is in charge, read revalation, God will not allow Israel to be destroyed. When it happens remember I told you so!!!! First the muslims and russia will attack Israel, God will stop there weapons in the air. Then china will attack. Blood will run knee deep. But Israel will survive. Obama has an agenda also, he wants to be dictator, he wants you as his slave. Just look at how and what Hitler did to take over germany. We are headed for destruction, if the people stand up and say no more before it is too late we can save our country from this but it will be a fight. This country can not survive as a socialist empire as has been proved by history. Only a republic controlled by the people will work. God Bless us all. Gene

i do think that pakistani nukes are a problem. so are iranian nukes, and n. korean nukes. i was just pointing out that when you got lung cancer is no time to go on a low cholesterol diet. europe is out-looming the middle east as a threat to their own civilization, and we arent doing anything about it. why did we save europe from the nazis, then from the ussr, if we are just going to watch the islamic radicals take over without firing a shot? not that there is much we can do about it, other than offer then a good example by evicting our own islamic radicals and other illegal invaders. if you think i give a hoot about israel, you are wrong, but i dont think that pandering to islamics, even to the point of helping them annihilate israel will do any good at all in the real struggle, which is islam taking over the entire world. even being aware that it was jews who betrayed the west by handing over all the atomic secrets to the soviet union, i still cant see the jews as a threat even in the same ballpark as the islamics. you keep kissing their islamic donkeys, we will see if you live any longer than i do when they take over.
