Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

With Arlen Specter turning Benedict Arnold on the Republicans, there have been hordes of speculation about whether moderates exist in the Republican Party. Senator Olympia Snowe immediately wrote an article expressing her concern about her existence as a moderate within the party. Senator Snowe, I am a moderate Republican and I feel quite comfortable in this party.

The problems that Ms. Snowe and Arlen Specter have are multi-fold and they are not issues of conscience. They would want you to believe that, but if it were so then they do not understand what being a Republican is in the first place.

Some would want you to believe that being pro-life is a hallmark issue of being in the Republican Party. It is not and don’t fall for that. There are many people who happily exist in the Republican Party who are pro-choice. In fact, I would say at least 80% of Republican Jews are pro-choice. Of course, we are not whacked-out on the issue. We generally believe in parental notification, do not believe in late-term abortions and prefer the government stays out of the process all together -- including funding.

We moderates believe there are bigger issues that tie us to the Republican Party. The first issue concerns tax policy and fiscal matters. We believe that government should not be and cannot be the answer for all economic ills. We moderate Republicans were as upset with the Republicans in Congress during the Bush Era for not trimming expenditures as any Conservative. We felt more government programs should have been given a merciful death. We are beside ourselves with angst about Obama’s economic plans and the Democrats’ attempt to usurp the healthcare system under the guise of providing universal healthcare.

So Senator Snowe, along with Senator Collins and Arlen Specter, should know that we are just as aggravated and possibly more than the Conservatives with them for their naïve endorsement of the “Stimulus Bill.” We did not need Rush Limbaugh to tell us that the bill was a gargantuan mistake, with multiple Trojan Horses planted by the Democrats. Moderate Manifesto Part 1
While Bush was in office, one minority, conservatives, ran the country. While Obama
is in office, another minority, progressives, will run the country.
The majority of Americans will suffer because of both minorities.

Moderates need to militantly unite against the conservative and progressive.
Moderates on radio and TV should begin to spring up in cities all across the U.S.
The show's rallying cry might be "We will provide ALL sides not just the progressive or conservative side" or "Some open-mindedness is needed".
These shows would provide all different viewpoints in a concise manner so listeners can make up their minds.

Initially, there is usually no clear cut answer for any political issue;
one definitely needs to do research.
Right now, there aren't enough facts to prove the existence of global warming, yet many Americans demand action to stop global warming now.
Right now, many Americans want to blame the mortgage meltdown entirely on corporate America;
these Americans disregard Congress's equal culpability.
We need to understand how the mortgage meltdown occurred so it doesn't happen again.

WE NEED FACTS, NOT IDEOLOGY.

Simplifying political issues into absolute rights and wrongs is the main mode of operation for progressives and conservatives.
Conservatives and progressives have been taught to strictly follow leadership.

Progressives and conservatives have made the resolution of political problems much more difficult.
Their political actions happen quickly, but examination of facts from all points of view rarely happen.
Consequently, their political actions always make political problems worse.

Read my post, you, like I might realize you have more in common with RP than first thought. I share your views, somewhat. Same Sex Marriage is also a state issue best left to local representation and voters.

Check it out, seriously. I couldn't STAND Ron Paul's supporters during the primary but other than that, he's darn good on States Rights and the Constitution.

We've got a far-Left President, I say it's time to throw caution to the wind.
