Do you feel the leaked information from a global warming alarmist organization is meaningful?

Representatives of GOP presidential candidate John McCain’s campaign said they were unaware the moderator of Thursday’s vice presidential debate had penned a book about the Democratic presidential candidate, to be released on Inauguration Day.

“I confirmed for us here on GretaWire: the McCain campaign did NOT know about Gwen Ifill’s book,” Fox anchor Greta Van Susteren reported on her blog, GretaWire, a day before the debate is scheduled to occur.

Conservative websites were on fire Wednesday morning after it was discovered moderator Gwen Ifill was planning to release a book about Barack Obama’s impact on race and politics on January 20, 2009.

Ifill’s tome is titled "The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama" and is being published by Random House.

Promotional material about the book released by Random House says, "Gwen Ifill surveys the American political landscape, shedding new light on the impact of Barack Obama’s stunning presidential campaign and introducing the emerging young African American politicians forging a bold new path to political power."

Ifill is currently the moderator and managing editor of PBS's Washington Week and senior correspondent of The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer.

Lehrer moderated the first presidential debate Friday night.

Rush for moderator!!!!
If that lying worthles two-faced (rhymes with "runt") Ifill is objective then we are by default ENTITLED to have Rush Limbaugh or Ann Coulter moderate the next Pres. Debate. They are actually more balanced, rational and fair than that partisan troll with a book to sell.

A simple question
If the McCain campaign was unaware that Ifill was writing a book on race and politics in our generation, it's crazy for them to admit it. It shows them as complete fools.

Why were they unaware? There have been articles in a variety of media since July, weeks before the McCain and Obama campaigns agreed upon a debate moderator and format. All you had to do was Google Gwen Ifill and articles came up discussing the project. Why was the McCain campaign unaware? why would they not have done a bare minimum of research on it? If this is a trap (and I'm not sure it is), why would they have helped set it on themselves?

This is the kind of sloppy staff work he has tolerated throughout his campaign, where it often seems the candidate and his campaign are working at cross-purposes, carrying contradictory messages and embarrasing each other. The fact that he has run such a shoddy campaign and tolerated such incredible incompetence among his staff is reason enough not to vote for him. If this is how he runs a campaign, how can you trust his judgment on running a government?
