Study: Even Casual Marijuana Use Results in Brain Damage

Even recreational marijuana use can cause permanent damage, altering patterns in the brain's regions of motivation and emotion, a study collaborated between Northwestern Medicine and Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School found. "People think a little recreational use shouldn't cause a problem, if someone is doing OK with work or school," study co-author Hans Breiter explained, "our data directly says this is not the case."
