The Democrats That Wouldn't Govern

Guest post by Rep. Mike Pence (Ind.) It's becoming more obvious to the American people every day that this administration was slow to respond to the crisis in the Gulf. And the Democrats don’t have a plan. They don’t have a clear plan to contain the sea of oil in the Gulf. And they don’t have a plan to contain the sea of red ink here in Washington, D.C.

Failing to lead is not leadership. Not doing a budget is not an answer for the fiscal crisis facing this country. Democrats’ refusal to write a budget is a shocking abdication of duty and it is an historic failure of leadership.

There has been a lot of talk these days about governing philosophy. The Democrat governing philosophy is apparently ‘don’t govern.’ The American people want leadership and they want vision and they want answers in Washington, D.C. House Republicans have been offering better solutions to create jobs, get spending under control and hold this administration accountable throughout this Congress and we will continue to fight for the American people in that cause.

Congressman Pence Represents Indiana's 6th congressional district.
