Wow, what a perfect way to cap off the week for President Donald J. Trump and his supporters. The Supreme Court ruled Friday evening that the commander-in-chief can indeed protect America's border by using $2.5 billion of Pentagon money to build portions of the border wall.

The Los Angeles Times has the story:

The justices, by a vote of 5 to 4, lifted orders by a federal judge in Oakland and the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco that had barred the administration from using the Pentagon’s money to build a border wall.

Conservative justices questioned whether the environmental groups challenging Trump’s wall had standing. The court’s four liberal justices dissented.

Trump’s lawyers had asked the high court to intervene, saying it faced a Sept. 30 deadline to spend $2.5 billion from the Pentagon’s budget before the fiscal year ended and the money was no longer available.

As One America News reporter Ryan Girdusky pointed out, the president is having a very good day.

The president himself chimed in on Twitter, saying,"Wow! Big VICTORY on the Wall. The United States Supreme Court overturns lower court injunction, allows Southern Border Wall to proceed. Big WIN for Border Security and the Rule of Law!"

Happy Friday, folks!
