President Joe Biden once again falsely claimed he did something despite evidence he did not.
The 81-year-old president claimed on Wednesday that he visited the site of the collapsed Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore the day after the wreckage occurred.
However, Biden waited more than a week to visit the site after the bridge was hit by a cargo ship in March.
“The bridge went down over the Chesapeake and we were there the next day, I was with the governor,” Biden told reporters.
After harsh blowback from the public, the White House claimed that the president had to wait until the area was safe and that his appearance would not interfere with rescue teams trying to recover the bodies of the six workers killed in the incident.

Just moments later, Biden vowed to spend “$60 zillion” in U.S. funds to rebuild the bridge.
“My father is from Maryland, but it’s not ‘Balt-im-ore,’ it’s Balmur,” Biden said to a very small crowd. “And we’re rebuilding a sixty-zillion-dollar bridge in Balmur.”
Biden’s botched speech was part of his campaign’s effort to gain back Black voters' support. Recent polls reveal they are quickly abandoning the president for former President Donald Trump ahead of the November election.
The president then went on to accuse Trump of being racist, asking the crowd "What do you think he would have done on January 6th, if black Americans had stormed the Capitol?”
“What do you think would have happened if black Americans had stormed the Capitol?” Biden continued. “I don’t think he’d be talking about pardons. It’s the same guy who wanted to tear gas you as you peacefully protested George Floyd’s murder.”
However, Biden failed to acknowledge that many black Americans were charged that day at the Capitol despite only peacefully protesting the outcome of the 2020 election.
In addition, this was not the first time the president lied to the public about visiting a place despite being well aware he did not.
On the 22nd anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, Biden claimed he made a trip to Ground Zero the next day. However, he didn’t visit until September 20— nine days later.
