Famous NYC Catholic Church Holds Funeral for Atheist Transgender Activist

A very well-known New York City Catholic Church conformed to the Left's progressive transgender agenda.

St. Patrick's Cathedral held a massive funeral for transgender activist, atheist, and former sex worker Cecilia Gentili. He was the first man who identified as transgender to have a funeral held at the St. Patrick's Cathedral.

The Daily Mail reported that more than 1,000 friends and family filled the church during the service. The outlet noted that guests wore unconventional clothes to the funeral, with some wearing crocheted crop tops, thongs, and fishnet stockings. Others drew hearts on their cheeks.

Funeral goers mocked St. Cecelia, saying, "This whore. This great whore. St. Cecilia, Mother of all Whores!"

The outlet described the funeral as follows:

A picture near the altar showed a haloed Ms. Gentili surrounded by the Spanish words for 'transvestite,' ‘whore,' 'blessed,' and 'mother' above the text of Psalm 25.

A mourner upstaged the priest at one point by singing 'Ave Maria' – but changing the lyrics to 'Ave Cecilia' before dancing through the aisles.

Over 1,000 mourners showed up at the cathedral, many of whom were clad in daring outfits with plenty of glitter, bold colors, and even a feather boa of $100 bills.

According to the outlet, Gentili was a drug addict who worked as a sex worker after illegally entering the United States from Argentina in 2004. Eight years later, he was reportedly granted asylum to stay in the country.

The irony is that Gentili was an atheist who had no standing in interest in the Catholic Church. Yet his funeral was held at the city's biggest, most well-known church.

In a video advertising Gentili's off-broadway play, "Red Ink," he was described as "an atheist," insisting that "God won't give up on her. Unfortunately, neither will the Devil."
