Biden's Decision to Renew Trump's Border Wall Efforts Might Win Him Back Voters

President Joe Biden may have found a way to win back voters as they steer away from the Democratic Party after seeing what his disastrous policies have done to the United States.

Last week’s decision by Biden to begin re-building former President Trump’s border wall was met with an overwhelmingly positive reaction.

According to a recent Rasmussen Reports poll, 73 percent of likely voters support Biden’s decision to break ground on the construction of Trump’s border wall.

However, over half (63 percent) of Americans still disapprove of his immigration policies, while about 33 percent approve.

In 2020, Biden vowed not to build “another foot” of the barrier. However, as the U.S. faces one of the most prominent crises in American history, the president’s approval rating continues to sink underwater.

Several polls suggest a secure border is one of the most significant factors when deciding who they will vote for— hence, Biden is backtracking his stance against a border wall.

After more than 245,000 illegal border crossings were recorded in August alone, Biden has finally decided to take action against the millions of aliens illegally entering the U.S. three years into his presidency.

The Trump Administration installed more than 450 miles of physical barriers during his time as president. The border wall project replaced low-rise walls designed to stop vehicles with 30-foot-tall steel bars, or bollards, anchored in a concrete base.

Additionally, Biden’s reversal on the need for a border wall comes after Border Patrol agents made 181,509 arrests at the Mexican border in August— up 37 percent from July. The president’s crisis has seen record encounters at the U.S.-Mexico border in 2022 alone. In May 2021, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reported encountering over 180,000 illegal migrants, the highest monthly total in over two decades.

On top of this, the number of terrorist groups that have stormed the U.S. border has skyrocketed.
