The Georgia Republican Party released a video on Wednesday highlighting the tangible impact of the Coronavirus, Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), featuring a small business owner in Georgia.

Small business owner Tommy Thomas shared how Senator Loeffler helped him obtain a forgivable loan via the PPP, which allowed him to keep the doors of his business open.

The CARES Act and PPP acted as lifelines to American families and small businesses affected by the pandemic. Both Sens. Perdue and Loeffler were crucial to the passage of the life-saving economic legislation, with no help from Democrats. Their respective opponents, Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, would have joined Senate Democrats in opposing the stimulus package. As the programs run out of funding and Republican lawmakers look to pass additional funding, Senate Democrats continue to filibuster the funding.

Ossoff even went as far as to say that the CARES Act "benefited the highest earners" when the legislation overwhelmingly served middle-class families and small businesses that faced economic burden from the pandemic.
