Abortion Group Claims Women Aren't The Only Ones Who Get Pregnant, Need Abortions

In their latest attempt to promote the progressive, pro-abortion agenda, NARAL claimed that abortion access is crucial for ‘other genders’ as it is for women.

The article linked to in the tweet, from a left-wing feminist blog, called for non-binary and transgender individuals to be included in the conversation surrounding abortion, because the idea that abortion is primarily a women’s issue is now anti-science according to progressives. This narrative has shifted from liberal groups calling for women’s reproductive rights; special interest pro-abortion groups are going against science, attesting that non-women can somehow become pregnant.

The post condemns the assumption by most that abortions are limited to women, given that is what biology tells us.

In conversations around abortion rights, we (people who talk about abortion) use the word “women” a lot. As in, women need access to safe abortion, women deserve the right to determine what’s best for themselves and their families. When we only talk about women, and when we assume that abortion seekers are always women, we erase the experiences oftrans and non binary folks who want and have abortions.

This new anti-science narrative comes from one of the most radical, pro-abortion groups that pumps money into candidates who will support an extremist abortion agenda in Washington. The group is famous for advocating to end the Hyde Amendment, against a 20 week abortion ban and for government funded birth control. Although more Americans are identifying themselves as pro-choice, a slim 51 percent majority according to a Marist poll, the majority of those surveyed overwhelmingly back a 20 week ban on abortion and continue to support the Hyde Amendment, which protects taxpayers from funding abortions.
