Crumpacker Hits 'Never Trump Knute' in OR-02 GOP Primary

The GOP primary in Oregon’s 2nd Congressional district continues to heat up before votes are counted on May 19th; the solidly-red seat is currently held by GOP Rep. Greg Walden, who announced his retirement in 2019. Seventh-generation Oregonian and Businessman Jimmy Crumpacker is running as a Conservative outsider, and proudly, a non-career politician:

Crumpacker’s campaign rolled out a website highlighting the liberal voting record, and criticism of President Trump, of fellow primary contender Knute Buehler. It reveals Buehler’s historical opposition, in his own words and tweets, to the president and his policies:

As the website points out, Buehler is also proudly pro-choice, and promised voters that Oregon will “remain a pro-choice state” during his 2018 gubernatorial election.

Despite GOP unity behind Justice Kavanaugh, against the Democratic Party’s despicable character attack during his confirmation, Buehler advised the president to withdraw the judge’s nomination. Luckily for Conservatives who value the rule of law, President Trump did not listen:

Crumpacker is running as the candidate who supports President Trump. A businessman and political outsider as the president was just four years ago, his campaign is fueled by his understanding that President Trump’s policies resonate with Americans outside of the beltway.

The 2nd congressional district’s primary will take place via mail-in votes on May 19.
