Vice President Mike Pence and Second Lady Karen Pence were tested for the Wuhan coronavirus on Saturday. Pence's Press Secretary, Katie Miller, took to Twitter Saturday night to confirm that both the vice president and second lady's results came back negative.

The vice president announced that he and his wife would be tested after a member of his staff tested positive for the virus late Friday evening. The staffer developed mild cold-like symptoms a day-and-a-half before he was tested but had not been to the White House since Monday. The CDC and the White House conducted contact tracing and concluded that neither Vice President Pence or President Donald Trump had direct contact with the individual.
Pence made the announcement about his planned test on Saturday during the White House's Coronavirus Task Force press conference.
"Given the unique position that I have as vice president and as the leader of the White House coronavirus task force, both I and my wife will be tested for the coronavirus later this afternoon," Pence said during Saturday's press conference.
President Donald Trump was already tested for the Wuhan coronavirus, despite having no symptoms. His results also came back negative.
Two members of Congress – Reps. Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL) and Ben McAdams (D-UT) – tested positive for the Wuhan coronavirus. House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-FL) announced that he was going into self-quarantining after learning about Diaz-Balart's diagnosis. The two had a lengthy meeting during the prime exposure time period.
