AOC Wants Illegal Immigrants Filling Out Census Forms Now That Citizenship Question Isn't Asked

Everyone saw this coming. Democrats fought tooth and nail to keep census forms from inquiring about an individual's citizenship status. They won, so now people like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) are urging illegal aliens to fill out census forms so Democrats like herself can keep their bogus congressional districts. According to reports, it's likely that New York state will lose a congressional seat as a result of the 2020 Census. State Democrats, who would be tasked with redrawing New York's congressional districts, are reportedly salivating at the opportunity to cut AOC's seat since the progressive congresswoman is often out of step with Democrats in the state.

On NBC's "Late Night With Seth Meyers" on Thursday, AOC said it was important for everyone in America, including illegal aliens, to fill out census forms for the purpose of congressional representation and funding for federal programs.

"We're all going to get mailed a prompt to fill out the census in the next two weeks or so, and so what I think is really important is that we all fill this out," AOC lectured the audience. "It happens once every ten years. Every single person, no matter your documentation status, no matter your housing status, income, etc., is to be counted, and it determines how much our schools are going to get funded, how much infrastructure gets invested, and of course how many members of Congress each community gets."

AOC went on to say that in some parts of New York City the self-reporting is only half of what she and her progressive allies think it should be.

The Trump administration announced plans to add the citizenship question back to the U.S. Census in 2020. Democrats screamed bloody murder because they, by and large, are the Party that benefits by gaining congressional seats based on the presence of illegal immigrants.

A study by the Center for Immigration Studies has analyzed the impact of both legal and illegal immigrants on the apportionment of seats in the U.S. House of Representatives. The study found that immigrants -- both legal and illegal, as well as their U.S. born minor children -- will cause 26 House seats to be redistributed in 2020. And 24 of the 26 House seats will be lost in states that voted for Donald Trump in 2016.

The study points out that changing the political party of just 21 representatives would be enough to flip control of the current House majority. California alone will have 11 more House seats as a result of immigration, which means California will also have 11 more electors in the electoral college. And this is why Democrats don't want a wall, support sanctuary cities, and refuse efforts to count just how many illegal aliens are living in the country.
