The first presidential contest of 2020 takes place Monday night with the Iowa Caucuses. This year Townhall is partnering with Decision Desk HQ to bring you live election results, so come back here tonight to keep up as the tallies come in.
Right now Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT), former Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), and former South Bend, IN Mayor Pete Buttigieg are sitting atop the latest Hawkeye State polls. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) has experienced a late surge, but considering her record as a prosecutor is back in the spotlight, it could play a factor in her showing. She denied reports that her campaign is cooperating with the Biden campaign in precincts where they are polling below the 15 percent threshold needed to make the second ballot.
Sen. Warren, meanwhile, picked up an endorsement from the Des Moines Register, Iowa’s largest newspaper.
The candidates have all been giving their best, final pitches.
